ago.
We are a registered charity that supports a designated
local nature reserve.
Where is the wood?

See where
we are.
What do we do?
The group manages a 13 acre woodland by using
the traditional method of coppicing. We conduct
surveys to assess the effects on wildlife
What are the aims of the group?
To maintain the woodland for the benefit of the
wildlife, preserve ancient skills and educate
the general public.
What activities are we involved in?
The group coppice the woodland and survey its
wildlife, we produce our own charcoal, we attend
various rural shows where we can be seen operating
pole-lathes, we make different products to sell
and also hold social events such as a Wassail
every December.
But don't I need special skills and
lots of free time?
NO - we welcome anyone who is interested and can
spare just a few hours per year. Lots of SMALL
contributions make a LARGE difference. |
