| Sitting
here writing this, as we are just about to have
our first cold snap and having scraped the ice
off the windscreen in recent days, it seems hard
to think back to this show in June when the sky
was clear blue and the sun shone down as the thermometer
went up. Yes, this has to be the hottest show
the Woodlanders did all year.
The Henfield Show, which almost did not happen,
was a success for the group. Our pitch on the
common covered the space of at least two normal
stands and even in the blazing sun Brian worked
the pole-lathe and Chris was busy making products.
Chris yet again managed to get our and his name
into the West Sussex County Times under a review
of the show, and the contact did lead to a half-page
spread later on in the WSCT about the Woodlanders.
