Browser/Javascript Help Page

Browsers that support JavaScript allow you to take advantage of advanced features on tottingtonwoodlanders.org.uk. If you have problems viewing our calendar, seeing the drop-down menu, sending us feedback, or using the top bar to print, change the text size, add us as a bookmark or make us your homepage, you probably have JavaScript turned off in your browser, or your browser doesn’t support JavaScript.

If your browser is listed below, it supports JavaScript.

If you’re not using one of these browsers, you will need to update your browser.
This can be done by downloading a browser from any of these locations:

Mozilla Firefox
Netscape

If you use one of these browsers but still cannot see JavaScript features, JavaScript may be turned off in your browser.

To turn on JavaScript, follow the directions below:


Mozilla Firefox (Windows)

  1. From the Tools menu, select Options.
  2. In Firefox 1.5, click Content; in Firefox 1.0, in the list on the left, select Web Features.
  3. Check (to enable) the boxes next to both Enable JavaScript and Enable Java.

  1. From the Firefox menu, select Preferences.
  2. In Firefox 1.5, click Content; in Firefox 1.0, in the list on the left, select Web Features.
  3. Check (to enable) the boxes next to both Enable JavaScript and Enable Java.

Mozilla Pre-Firefox (Windows)

  1. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
  2. In the "Category" list at the left of the screen, click Advanced.
  3. Check Enable Java and Enable native object scripting. Then in the "Category" column on the left, click the + (plus sign) or triangle next to "Advanced" to expand the list, and then select Scripts & Plug-ins. On the right, under "Enable JavaScript for", check Navigator and Mail & Newsgroups.

Mozilla Pre-Firefox (Macintosh)

  1. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
  2. In the "Category" list at the left of the screen, click Advanced.
  3. Check Enable Java. Then in the "Category" column on the left, click the triangle next to "Advanced" to expand the list, and then select Scripts & Plugins. On the right, under "Enable JavaScript for", check Navigator and Mail & Newsgroups.

Netscape 8.x (Windows)

  1. From the Tools menu, select Options.
  2. In the list on the left, select Site Controls.
  3. Check (to enable) the boxes next to both Enable JavaScript and Enable Java.

Netscape 7.x (Windows)

  1. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
  2. In the "Category" list at the left of the screen, click Advanced.
  3. Check Enable Java and Enable native object scripting. Then in the "Category" column on the left, click the + (plus sign) or triangle next to "Advanced" to expand the list, and then select Scripts & Plug-ins. On the right, under "Enable JavaScript for", check Navigator and Mail & Newsgroups.
  4. Click OK to save the changes. You may need to exit and restart your browser for the changes to take effect.

Netscape 7.x (Macintosh)

  1. From the Netscape menu, choose Preferences.
  2. In the "Category" list at the left of the screen, click Advanced.
  3. Check Enable Java. Then in the "Category" column on the left, click the triangle next to "Advanced" to expand the list, and then select Scripts & Plugins. On the right, under "Enable JavaScript for", check Navigator and Mail & Newsgroups.

  1. Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
  2. Click Advanced on the left side of the dialog box.
  3. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript for Navigator. Click the OK button.

  1. Select Preferences from the Edit menu.
  2. Click Advanced on the left side of the dialog box.
  3. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript. Click the OK button.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x and 6.x (Windows)

  1. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Click Custom Level in Security Level for this Zone.
  4. Scroll down to Scripting, near the bottom of the list.
  5. Under Active Scripting, choose Enable.
  6. Click OK to leave Security Settings. Click OK to leave Internet Options.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x (Macintosh)

  1. Choose Preferences under the Edit menu.
  2. Click Web Content under Web Browser.
  3. In Active Content, check the box next to Enable scripting.
  4. In Java, click Enable Java. Click OK.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x (Windows)

  1. Select Internet Options from the View menu.
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Set the security level for this zone to Custom (for expert users).
  4. Click the Settings button (to the right of Custom).
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the list and enable Active scripting.
  6. Click the OK button to close the Security Settings window. Click OK to close the Internet Options window.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x (Macintosh)

  1. Click the Preferences icon in the Toolbar.
  2. Click the Web Content icon under Web Browser.
  3. In Active Content, check the box next to Enable scripting. Click the OK button.

  1. JavaScript is always on.
