In this section you will find the results of various surveys as they are performed.
Probably the most notable survey we have undertaken is the botanical survey. This started in 1993 and recorded the entire Local Nature Reserve for several years. It soon became evident that very few new plants were arriving, as one would expect in an ancient woodland. as a consequence we now only survey cantsas they are coppiced. The botanical survey included here is a cumulative index of all the plants recorded, they are broken down into several categories viz. Ground Flora, Grasses, Sedges, Rushes, Ferns and Trees & Shrubs. Some of the entries are transient and may no longer exist in the wood. We have been greatly helped in our botanical survey by the Worthing Botanical Recording Society.
